Description
Thomas Edison was the epitome of tenacity. Some surely called him "mule stubborn." Today electric light is taken for granted, however, in Edison's day, many people said that Edison was a fool and was simply wasting his time. They claimed that everyone knows that mankind is supposed to illuminate the night with oil lamps.
Before perfecting the electric light bulb filament, Edison was asked if he felt that he had failed. He responded by saying, "I have not failed. I have just found 10,000 ways that won't work."
